Organization Structure
Although the Italian Greyhound Rescue Foundation is an all-volunteer organization spread throughout the entire country, we have to be very organized in order to keep things running smoothly. In order to help out hundreds of Italian Greyhounds our organization serves each and every year, we have established a well-defined organizational hierarchy which is outlined below. This structure facilitates the intake and placement of Italian Greyhounds, coordination within (or between) states and regions, and for evaluating potential homes for our adoptable dogs effectively.
Below is a list and profiles of individuals currently holding some of the above positions in our national organization.

State-Based Rescue Representatives
We have affiliates in most states throughout the USA, and each affiliate often has multiple Italian Greyhound Rescue Representatives working together to cover the entire geography of that state. A representative may cover an entire state in some cases, a large metropolitan area in densely populated areas, or sometimes they have roughly defined boundaries shared between the rescue representatives within that state. The Rescue Representatives for each state are responsible for accepting and adopting out Italian Greyhounds within their state's borders, transportation within the state, coordinating events and many other activities. Each state-based rescue representative has been voted on and approved by the Rescue Committee based on their years of service, and experience in helping Italian Greyhounds in their area.
State-Based Volunteers
Throughout the country, our State Rescue Representatives have many volunteers that help with all aspects of keeping the local organization running smoothly. These volunteers include foster homes, transporters, event or volunteer coordinators, and many other critical functions. These local volunteers are approved by that state's Rescue Representatives in coordination with their Regional Coordinators. The local volunteers coordinate closely with their state representatives to ensure that all rescue policies are followed, dogs are given proper care, and any other aspects of volunteering on behalf of our state and national groups.
