"Iggy" Sitting
Leaving town for business or a vacation and looking for a pet sitter? Need a place for your Italian Greyhound(s) to stay for a short time, as an alternative to a boarding kennel or vet office? Why not ask your local Italian Greyhound Rescue affiliate if they have a foster home who is willing to take on an extra dog for a week or two, rather than paying outrageous boarding kennel or dog sitting fees?
Not only do you get someone who is familiar with the breed babysitting and caring for your Italian Greyhound(s), but they are not stuck in a cage or kennel for days on end, waiting for you to return. They would get to be with a family, and other IGs who they can interact with in a home environment. Plus, if they are a former foster dog of any of the Italian Greyhound Rescue Foundation affiliates, our foster homes often love to see our former fosters.
We take pride in giving your IGs the individual love and attention they want, while giving you the comfort and convenience of working with someone local who knows the breed well. And, if your Iggy's have special needs, we have probably seen it before, whether they take medication daily or have any type of disability that requires special care.
If you are in need of iggy-sitting (babysitting or housesitting services) please let your local or state affiliate Italian Greyhound Rescue know. We will work to try and accommodate your IG(s) for a short stay, in return for your generous donation to the Italian Greyhound Rescue Foundation.
